The House of Representatives was not in session March 20 or March 22, when Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appeared at “Fighting Oligarchy” rallies in Tempe and Tucson alongside U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders. The House was called to session on March 21 for two minutes, but no votes were held. 

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., has not missed any votes since the November 2024 reelection of President Donald Trump. Over her six-plus years in the House, she has missed 54 of 3,264 roll call votes, or around 1.7%, according to an analysis from GovTrack, which monitors congressional activity.

The average percentage of missed votes among all serving members of Congress is 1.9%, GovTrack found.
